Accessibility statement

Plate Manage aims to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the recharge wizard, the legal pages and the support pages. This statement lists what we do, what we know is imperfect, and where to send feedback.

Conformance target

The Service is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Internal audits run quarterly. The current self-rating is “mostly conformant” with the gaps listed below.

What works

  • Semantic HTML — every page uses one <h1>, ordered headings, native form controls and ARIA landmarks (header, nav, main, footer).
  • Keyboard navigation — the whole site is reachable by Tab. Focus-visible outlines are explicit. Modals and the mobile drawer trap focus, close on Escape, and return focus to the trigger.
  • Colour contrast — body text and CTA buttons meet AA contrast in both light and dark sections, verified by the WebAIM ratio.
  • Reduced motion — animations and the typewriter effect respect prefers-reduced-motion: reduce and fall back to static text.
  • Form fields — every input has a visible <label> tied by for/id. Error messages are announced via aria-live. Required-when-applicable fields show a clear hint instead of a misleading asterisk.
  • RTL Arabic — the Arabic mirror is a real translation, not a flipped English. Headings, buttons, hints and error text are localised.

Known gaps

  • The cascading category and plate-code selects show a short fake-loading animation between dependent steps. Screen readers may announce the empty intermediate state as “no options” for a fraction of a second.
  • Decorative SVG illustrations carry aria-hidden="true" but the patterned highlighter under key phrases is still visible; we are testing a high-contrast theme that removes it on demand.

Tested browsers & assistive tech

Current matrix: latest two stable versions of Chromium, Firefox and Safari on Windows, macOS and iOS, plus VoiceOver on macOS/iOS and NVDA on Windows. Internet Explorer is not supported.
