How to recharge plate number — the long version

Four steps end-to-end, with what happens behind each form field, what the site stores, and what it doesn't.

  1. I.

    Open the recharge wizard

The wizard lives at /recharge.html. It works on phones, tablets and laptops down to 320 pixels wide. No login is required and no data is pre-filled — every recharge starts blank, so it's safe to use on a shared device.

  2. II.

Enter the UAE plate & mobile

Stage I of the wizard. Six fields, only four are strictly required: mobile, emirate, category and plate number. The plate code is filtered by your emirate and category — for combinations where no plate code applies (most motorcycles, for example), the field shows a notice and you can keep going. Email is optional.

Local validation only·Step II of IV
  3. III.

    Pick the AED amount

Stage II of the wizard. Tap one of four preset chips — AED 50, 100, 150 or 200 — or type a custom whole-dirham value between 5 and 500. The selected chip is filled in solid ink so it's obvious which one is locked in. The amount is reflected immediately in the review block on stage III.

Confirm and pay on the secure page

Stage III shows a summary card with the plate, mobile and AED total. When you press “Continue to secure payment”, a short progress overlay appears and your browser is handed to a dedicated payments domain. The card form lives only on that page — never on this property. After the card clears you land on a receipt page that you can print or save.

Data flow in plain language

What goes to the payments page

Plate (emirate, category, code if any, number), the AED amount, your UAE mobile, the optional email, and a short session token that ties the two pages together. The plate is needed because the upstream toll account is identified by it.

What stays only on the payments page

The full card number, the expiry and the CVV. None of these are sent to this site. The receipt email contains only the last four digits, which is the same level of detail you would see on a card statement.

What we never ask for

Your Emirates ID, your passport number, your date of birth, your home address, your salary, your photo. None of these are needed to route a UAE road-toll top-up.

What can go wrong (and what to do)

If the card is rejected, you'll see a generic retry message on the payments page — try once more or use a different card. If the card clears but the balance doesn't appear within two hours, write to support@platemanage.net with the order reference from the receipt.
